The “bumpy road to publish a paper” – Workshop at the 28th International Polar Conference

The 28th International Polar Conference (Potsdam, 1 to 5 May) is approaching fast. Our workshop about “the bumpy road to publish a paper” is specifically aimed at the Early Career Researchers attending the conference!

During the workshop, you will learn about publishing peer-reviewed articles and, most importantly, have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange thoughts.

What is the publication process like from the editors’ point of view? What are typical problems? Why is an article rejected?

To answer such questions, we have invited Jens Turowski (Associate Editor Earth Surface Dynamics) and Donovan Denis (Co-chief-editor Polarforschung).

Furthermore, this workshop will provide a starting point for getting to know other Early Career conference participants.

The workshop takes place on Sunday afternoon (1 May) at 3 pm. We have organized a large seminar room at the Wissenschaftsetage im Bildungsforum Potsdam (Am Kanal 47, 14467 Potsdam). This is the same building where the icebreaker reception will take place right after our workshop. Just look out for the room complex Süring-Vollmer. As part of the official conference program, you can attend our workshop spontaneously without registration. In order to keep an overview, we would still appreciate a short reply to polartagung2022@apecs-germany.de.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Potsdam!
