Upcoming event: Live Call to Antarctica 2025

Let's celebrate Antarctica Day (1.12)!

🌍 Live from Antarctica – Volume 2!
📡 Join us for a live call to Neumayer Station III this Antarctica Day!
📅 Monday, 01 December 2025, 5:30 PM

After last year’s exciting live call to the field camp at Lake Untersee, we’re thrilled to announce Volume 2 — this time coming directly from Germany’s Neumayer Station III!

In this year’s edition, we’ll connect live with a researcher currently living and working at the station. Get a firsthand look at what life on the ice is really like — from the science being done to the small (and big!) challenges of everyday life in Antarctica.

💬 What to expect:
🔹 A live chat with a researcher at Neumayer Station
🔹 Insights into their research and daily routines
🔹 Time for your questions about work, life, and living at the end of the world!

What is it like to live in Antarctica? How cute are those penguins? Where does drinking water come from when everything is frozen? What do you eat given the next supermarket is > 4000 km away?

This event is open to everyone — whether you’re a student, an early career researcher, or just curious about life and science in Antarctica.
